The Christopher Laughlin School of Music was founded in 1996 in Glenview, IL, and moved to Northbrook, IL in 2001. We are very proud of our role in the artistic life of our community. Our students have won prizes in a number of music competitions, and many have continued with music through college and beyond to pursue careers in music.
We love all kinds of music, so whether your interest is in classical, rock, jazz, folk, pop, country or anything else, we have the expertise to help you reach your musical goals.
All of our instructors have a minimum qualification of a bachelor's degree in music, and many hold master's and doctoral degrees as well. Our faculty represent some of the finest music schools in the country, and includes graduates from Yale University, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, Peabody Institute, Eastman School of Music, and Northern Illinois University.
We feel that music can be a part of anyone's life, and at any age. For some instruments we can start kids as young as 4 years old. But music is for adults as well, so whatever your age we'd be delighted to have you join us.
